"Like father like son", you've heard the expression. It's often easy for me to say of some of the negatives I see in me, "I got that from my father". But recently it hit me, some of what I like about me, also comes from him. My dad was a visionary and creative. Wahlah, that's me also. I am full of vision and creative drive. I love starting with nothing and building a web app or composing a song. I envisioned a band. The next thing I know, I am traveling the globe with a bunch of guys playing music. How about a traveling comedy show. A few of us got together, built a stage set with curtains, props and lights and hit the road coast to coast for a couple of years. I have always been driven by vision and that comes from him. My dad had great ideas from time to time, but as it goes with most visionaries, we desperately need someone to mentor, to challenge, to shape our vision, and help us make the dream a reality. If I didn't have people around me like my wife and those I have worked with over the years, I probably would have done alot of sitting around.
